Dan Mihai

Dan is a founding partner at Mihai & Co. Business Lawyers.

Dan has wide experience in providing legal advice to both local and multinational companies. His main areas of expertise are corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, commercial litigation and sports law.

Dan regularly participates as speaker at conferences and seminars open to the general public or specialists, on matters such as commercial law, sports law and GDPR.

He is also involved in several projects at regional level and he is currently the Secretary General of Proteus – an international network of law firms. He is also an active member of NRCC (Netherlands-Romanian Chamber of Commerce), Belgian and Hellenic Chambers of Commerce, and member of Legal Mondo Network.

Dan is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association.

Maria Ilin

 

Maria is currently a Senior Associate and the leader of the dispute resolution team. She has extensive experience as a litigation lawyer, and provides/coordinates assistance and representation of clients in complex litigation files for all degrees of jurisdiction, working primarily with companies and other legal persons, in a wide range of litigious matters in administrative and tax, IP/IT, privacy, labour, consumer complaints.

Her experience includes assistance, preparation, coordination and complex negotiation of litigious and/or potentially litigious situations both for local and multinational companies. Maria has also dealt with a number of reorganization procedures, disciplinary procedures, disputes with former members of the corporate management, negotiations with trade unions, etc.

Maria also provides assistance related to personal data protection and privacy, being a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), having actively finalized GDPR consulting and assurance missions. She has also delivered and led numerous lectures on the topic of GDPR in collaboration with representatives of the IT sector.

Last but not least, Maria was acknowledged for her active role in the international network of law firms Proteus (www.proteuslaw.eu), having close links with lawyers from all EU countries and beyond.

Maria is a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2000.

Ana-Maria Grigore

Ana is a mediator registered with the Mediation Council in Romania and has proved excellent skills in advising clients towards resolving their matters in a non-combative and satisfactory manner through mediation sessions.

Ana’s main focus is liaising between our clients and the Romanian Trade Register and has solid experience in managing the intricacies of handling a company’s file with Trade Register civil servants. She has also drafted and dealt with a great number of complex M&A documents and issues, thus ensuring the statutory functioning of our legal person clients.

An important member of our team, Ana’s advice always takes into consideration both the legal and business aspects of our clients’ projects.

Ana holds a Degree in Law.

Paul Banzea

Paul is a registered attorney and member of the Bucharest Bar Association since October 2015. Demonstrating a strong interest for dispute resolution ever since college, where he was a pleading member for the international arbitration moot court Willem C Vis team at Hong Kong, he is a member of our litigation team.

His main focus is litigation and dispute resolution, acting as pleading attorney before the Romanian Courts. Paul has a solid experience in various litigation areas such as contract law, commercial law, insolvency, forced enforcement procedures and he has also represents clients in a number of tax law cases against national public authorities. He has also acted as counsel in arbitration proceedings before the International Chamber of Commerce.

With a keen interest for good communication and leadership, Paul has taken part in the Erasmus programme during college as an exchange student at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and is a member of the International Association for Young Lawyers (AIJA).

Stefan Spiridonescu

Stefan worked as a legal consultant and in-house lawyer for one of Romania’s leading group of media agencies where he gained valuable knowledge of the media and advertising environment and the relevant legal framework. In this position he was involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements regarding important high-value projects.

With the new General Data Protection Regulation coming into force in 2018, he has participated in projects involving complex data processing activities and has acquired strong knowledge in the new legal framework of data protection.

Stefan is an IT and technology enthusiast that looks forward to further improving his skills and knowledge in all legal fields, while focusing on providing clients with competent and thoroughly documented legal advice.

Stefan is a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2014.

Mihaela Mîndîcanu

Mihaela Mîndîcanu is a Bachelor of Law from the University of Bucharest and holds a master’s degree in Judiciary Career within the same university.

Mihaela has been a member of the Bucharest Bar since January 2016 and joined the team of Mihai & Co. Business Lawyers in December 2018. She is involved in dispute resolution projects, being also specialized in building associations and foundations.

Before joining Mihai & Co., Mihaela worked in a Bucharest law firm specialized in civil and commercial law. She was mainly implicated in banking and finance matters.

Raluca Mihai

Raluca is a Human Resources’ generalist and within our office she is acting as a trustworthy partner for the management team. Her activities include internal communication, recruitment, compliance, employee relations, training & development, compensation & benefits.

Raluca has over 15 years experience in human resources, being involved in processes and projects including teams of 25-60 people. During her career she was part of developing and implementing processes of evaluation and compensations & benefits.

She is an active member of the Romanian HR community - HR Club, since 2006.
